Since it was first launched in 1995, the Benicàssim International Festival, FIB Heineken 09, has continued to grow and is now one of the greatest music events both in Spain and internationally. Thanks to the music, the extensive line-up of cultural activities and of course, the unbeatable climate and surroundings, this is a unique experience for festival-goers. From 16th to 19th July, fun and personal enrichment go hand in hand at this celebration, which in 2009 is celebrating its 15th year, during which time the Festival has received close to one and a half million visitors. Over a thousand different artists, fifteen hundred non-musical activities (short films, fashion, art, theatre, dance and courses) and close to eleven thousand accredited journalists have helped to make FIB Heineken the hottest summer event in Europe.
Over 45,000 Fibers will be flocking to Benicàssim. The festival site, covering around 130,000 m2, will be home to four music stages, large spaces for relaxation and restaurant areas, the FIB Market, Mustang Fashion Weekend runway, etcetera. All this has been organised so that you can enjoy a complete cultural programme, which will feature equally intense performances by the most important bands on today's music scene, such as Oasis, Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers; as well as the heavy weights from the history of rock, such Gang of Four, Magazine, Paul Weller, Television Personalities, Giant Sand and The Psychedelic Furs; and the best from Spanish music history, including We Are Standard, De Christina Rosenvinge, Nacho Vegas, Cooper, Russian Red, CatPeople, the winners of Project Demo 09 Ratolines, Javier Corcobado and Josele Santiago...
